Sonja Hayes possesses a broad depth of experience that comes from 15 years of service in the financial services industry. As part of Prudential Annuities' Advanced Planning and Solutions team, Sonja works extensively with financial professionals, CPAs and attorneys to help them understand the complexities and opportunities of retirement planning, income distribution and estate planning.

In addition to being a frequently requested speaker at broker/dealer and other national conferences, Sonja has authored articles for numerous industry publications and has developed continuing education curriculum and marketing materials.

Prior to joining Prudential, Sonja has worked in the Advanced Planning departments at Jackson National Life Insurance, MetLife Life Insurance and General American Life Insurance Companies. Prior to that Sonja was employed in the tax department of Edward Jones.

She earned a B.A. from the University of Colorado-Denver, her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia, her LL.M. in taxation from Washington University School of Law and, most recently, an MBA in Marketing from Strayer University.

Sonja holds FINRA 6, 26 and 63 registrations, along with a Chartered Life Underwriter designation from the American College. She is a member of the bar associations in Illinois, Missouri and Washington, D.C., the American Bar Association and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, as well as the Society of Financial Service Professionals and the National Association for Female Executives.
